  • 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP SAVE THE BEES

Honeybees are essential pollinators, responsible for fertilizing about one-third of the food we eat, including fruits, vegetables, and nuts. They also support healthy ecosystems by helping wild plants reproduce. Without honeybees, food diversity and crop yields would decline, threatening global food security and biodiversity. Here are some things you can do to protect them.

    • 1. PLANT BEE-FRIENDLY FLOWERS : Grow native, pesticide-free plants like lavender, sunflowers, wildflowers, and herbs that provide nectar and pollen.
    • 2. AVOID PESTICIDES & HERBICIDES : Chemicals, especially neonicotinoids, are harmful to bees. Use organic or natural alternatives in your garden.
    • 3. SUPPORT LOCAL BEEKEEPERS : Buy local honey and bee products. This helps keep sustainable, bee-friendly practices alive.
    • 4. PROVIDE WATER SOURCES : Place shallow dishes of clean water with pebbles for bees to safely land and drink.
    • 5. LET YOUR LAWN BLOOM : Leave dandelions, clover, and other flowering weeds-they're food for bees!
    • 6. CREATE BEE HABITATS : Leave small brush piles, build bee hotels, or let parts of your yard go wild to support native bees.
    • 7. EDUCATE & SPREAD AWARENESS : Teach others about the importance of bees and how to protect them.
    • 8. SUPPORT ORGANIC & REGENERATIVE FARMING : These methods are healthier for pollinators and the planet.
    • 9. REDUCE LAWN SPACE : Convert some lawn space into flower gardens or wildflower meadows.
    • 10. GET INVOLVED : Donate to or volunteer with organizations focused on pollinator protection and conservation.
